Our Outreach
St Peter and St Simon’s inhabits one of the most diverse and dense neighbourhoods in Toronto.
We respond with programs from support for refugees, to a homework club for local kids, and music lessons through the organization St . James Town Community Arts formerly Reaching Out through Music.
For a long time we have provided shelter for the homeless, material support for those in need, and a quiet, green space amid the soaring city towers.
The baptismal covenant lies at the heart of our Christian faith. Among the promises embedded in this covenant is that the baptized will strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being. Founded in 2021, Micah’s Guild is a group of parishioners dedicated to the justice promised in the Gospels and focused on social issues such as race and racism, the environment, and poverty.
