While most people look forward to the Christmas season, we acknowledge that there are also those for whom Christmas is not a happy time, people who — for various reasons — approach Christmas with sadness or even dread, people whose Christmases are more blue than white. We are pleased to be able to offer this quiet and contemplative service of healing and hope.
Please come and support our “Blue Christmas” service on December 18 even if Christmas is your favourite time of the year. Your attendance will help to provide a safe and accepting place for our brothers and sisters who are not so fortunate. Not everybody in pain is comfortable with sharing their feelings, and it is a loving thing to do to be supportive of them. We need to gather as a whole community, surrounded by love, to listen to God’s word, remember God’s promises, and to praise God who is the source of all light and hope.
