Mervin Fick

Director of Music

Mervin has led music programmes for liturgical and reformed tradition services in the Anglican, Lutheran, and United Churches for over 40 years, most recently (for the past seven years) at St Anne’s Anglican Church in Toronto.
Mervin also has extensive experience beyond the Church, as a vocal coach, teacher, and conductor. He is the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Mississauga Chamber Singers, the Toronto Beach Chorale, the Peel Choral Society, and the Esprit Chamber Choir.

Mervin’s musical formation began in his youth in the Lutheran Church.  He went on to study organ at the University of Toronto with the late Douglas Bodle.

Mervin values the many gifts and talents that people bring to the worshiping community. Through the ministry of music, he encourages and nurtures a wide variety of expressions that contribute to a reverent and accessible corporate worship experience. Mervin has a passion for teaching and integrating music with faith formation, which is evident in the way he works with and engages others.
